A Ferrari F430 draws a crowd sitting still, and doors that swing up instead of out complete the effect. This kit from Vertical Doors, Inc. converts the factory doors on the 2004-2009 F430 to vertical operation, and it fits every trim and model year in that range, 2004 through 2009. It is engineered for this chassis specifically rather than adapted from a universal hinge.

Part number VDCFE4300409 covers both sides of the car and includes:

The hinges bolt directly to the car’s factory bolt pattern, and the conversion is completely reversible, so the F430 can go back to stock doors whenever you want. Every kit is made in the USA from domestic hardened steel and the design is patented here as well. An instruction manual ships in the box and VDI backs it with free tech support, but on a car like this we recommend having a professional installer do the work, following the supplied instructions. The door first swings out on the vertical pin, then lifts on the round bearing hub, and the gas shock holds it up: the two-stage motion in VDI's patent (US 6,845,547). Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes. A typical kit, drawn from VDI's Crossfire manual: the plate, arm, brackets, shock and angles differ by vehicle, and each kit is made for its car.
