Fitment is the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Lincoln Navigator, and it covers every trim level in those three model years. Part number VDCLN0305 is a bolt-on vertical door conversion from Vertical Doors, Inc. that lets the factory doors swing up instead of out. The hinges land on the factory bolt pattern, so nothing gets cut or welded, and the conversion is fully reversible if you ever want the Navigator back to stock.

The door first swings out on the vertical pin, then lifts on the round bearing hub, and the gas shock holds it up: the two-stage motion in VDI's patent (US 6,845,547). Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes. A typical kit, drawn from VDI's Crossfire manual: the plate, arm, brackets, shock and angles differ by vehicle, and each kit is made for its car.
