Part number VDCF6500610 is the lambo door hinge kit Vertical Doors, Inc. builds for the 2006-2010 Ford F-650. It fits every trim of the F-650 across the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 model years. VDI makes the kit in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the hinge design is patented. It is a direct bolt-on: the hinges mount to the truck’s factory bolt pattern, so there is no cutting or welding, and the whole conversion is reversible if you ever want the doors back to stock.

An instruction manual comes in the box and VDI offers free tech support while you work. Even so, we recommend having a professional installer do the job using the supplied instructions – an F-650 door is a large, heavy panel and getting the alignment right matters. One thing to know before you order: truck and SUV kits are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so double-check your year and model before adding this one to the cart.

The door first swings out on the vertical pin, then lifts on the round bearing hub, and the gas shock holds it up: the two-stage motion in VDI's patent (US 6,845,547). Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes. A typical kit, drawn from VDI's Crossfire manual: the plate, arm, brackets, shock and angles differ by vehicle, and each kit is made for its car.
