This kit from Vertical Doors, Inc., part number VDCHDELSOL9397, is built for the 1993-1997 Del Sol and fits every trim across those years — 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997 all take the same hinge set. The hinges mount to the factory bolt pattern, so this is a direct bolt-on kit, and it is completely reversible — pull it off and the car goes back to stock doors. VDI builds the hinges in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the design is patented here as well. A printed instruction manual comes packed with the kit and free tech support is an email or phone call away. Even so, a hinge carries the full weight of the door, so we recommend having a professional installer do the fitting and work from the supplied instructions.

Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes.
