Part number VDCCADEXT07 comes from Vertical Doors, Inc., the only manufacturer of vertical lambo door and ZLR conversions in the USA, with more than 20 years behind its kits. This one is built for the Cadillac EXT and covers every trim from 2007 through 2013. Each hinge is made in the USA from domestic hardened steel on a patented design, prototyped on the actual vehicle so the geometry is right for this truck.

The hinges bolt directly to the EXT’s factory bolt pattern, so the kit installs as a straight bolt-on and the truck can be put back to stock doors later if you want. A printed instruction manual ships in the box and VDI backs it with free tech support by phone, email, or social media, though we recommend having a professional installer do the work using those supplied instructions. One thing to know before ordering: truck and SUV kits are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so double-check that your EXT falls in the 2007-2013 range first. Installer options are available locally, nationwide, and through mobile services.

The door first swings out on the vertical pin, then lifts on the round bearing hub, and the gas shock holds it up: the two-stage motion in VDI's patent (US 6,845,547). Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes. A typical kit, drawn from VDI's Crossfire manual: the plate, arm, brackets, shock and angles differ by vehicle, and each kit is made for its car.
